RONALD S. SCHLAUPITZ, CPA, MBA
Prior to founding R.S. Schlaupitz & Associates, Mr. Schlaupitz devoted over 20 years of his career to corporate finance in the private sector - half with Fortune 500 companies and the other half with businesses under $50 million in revenues, both public and private. He has held positions of Chief Financial Officer for two privately held manufacturers, Corporate Controller for a publicly traded electronics manufacturer, Corporate Controller for a venture capital backed technology company, and Division Controller for a Fortune 500 staffing services company.
Mr. Schlaupitz has most often been called on to address critical issues of cash flow, performance improvement and business process change. He has worked to stabilize cash flow for two companies in decline; resolve debtor disputes; restructure trade and investor debt obligations; negotiate legal settlements; improve inventory management practices (reducing cash requirements); improve financial management practices; lead significant business process change initiatives; and lead and support financing and restructuring transactions (public stock offering, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures). Mr. Schlaupitz consistently focuses on identifying top issues and developing solutions to effectively address them.
As a CPA providing accounting and tax services, Mr. Schlaupitz provides particular benefit to entrepreneurs and established business owners in their efforts to form new businesses, develop existing businesses, evaluate opportunities, solve problems and assist his clients with other initiatives. Mr. Schlaupitz takes the knowledge gained during the accounting and tax work, and puts this understanding to use for the business owner or non-profit organization.
Mr. Schlaupitz is a licensed CPA; has his MBA, with Distinction, from The University of Michigan; and has his BA, with Honor, from Michigan State University. He is co-winner of The University of Michigan's 1989 Pryor Award for Individual Entrepreneurship.
